WHO: Palmali Shipping, based in Istanbul, operates a large fleet of vessels carrying millions tons of liquid and dry cargoes annually from inner ports of central Russia, Caspian, Black and Mediterranean Seas to West Europe, and across the Atlantic Ocean and the Far East.
SERVICE: Palmali Shipping needed a cargo tank coating for a series of newbuild river/sea tankers capable of handling CPPs (Clean Petroleum Products), Bio-Fuels, Vegetable and Edible Oils, DPPs, and other cargoes.
HISTORY: Advanced Polymer Coatings was contacted to provide a low temperature cure cargo tank coating capable of handling a wide range of easy chemicals. This versatility is important to Palmali Shipping as it handles a number of chemicals and must be able to sequence these in various cargo tanks throughout ongoing voyages.
THE SOLUTION: The newbuild tankers in the Palmali fleet all employed APC’s coating system with the distinctive blue color for its cargo tanks. This helps Palmali Shipping meet its goal to provide professional ship management services to its customers in a competent cost effective manner at the highest environmental and safety standards.
