Originally APC began operations by developing
a cross-linked organic-inorganic polymer used in high temperature
performance composite parts, prepregs and coatings for the
aerospace industry. This superior polymer has been specified
in a range of stringent parts requirements for advanced tactical
missiles, aircraft parts, space hardware, ordnance, electronics
and other performance applications. Based on this success
with engineered polymers, the company attacked problems in
other industries focusing on the corrosive deficiencies of
conventional protective coatings and linings.

Today, APC manufactures
a full range of Siloxirane lining and coating systems,
geared to meet demanding industrial requirements for corrosion,
high temperature and abrasion resistance. These polymer
coatings are highly effective against extreme corrosion
and erosion, with a temperature resistance capability up
to 550°F (288°C).
The APC family of coatings provides long-term,
cost-effective protection of equipment used in chemical,
petro-chemical, storage/ secondary containment, flooring,
power generation, marine, railroad and over-the-road transportation
industries.
Siloxirane is resistant
to 98% of all corrosive acids, alkalis, solvents, gasses
and materials at various temperatures. Our polymer scientists
have conducted over 5,000 chemical and physical tests of Siloxirane
resin and coating systems. In applications testing of Siloxirane
versus conventional coatings such as vinylesters, Hi build
epoxies, rubbers and Hi bake phenolics, Siloxirane proved
superior in virtually all performance aspects, and in economic
cost comparisons. |
